Finding text across worksheets???

This seems quite basic, but no-one I have asked seems to know the answer!

How can you find text* (simply) in a workbook with multiple worksheets?

*i use an Excel 97 spreadsheet as a simple database (about 8 sheets) and Ctrl+F will only search for text within the page I am on.

Surely there is a way?

Hi Perdita

There most certainly is a way. Right click on any sheet name tab and select "Select all sheets". If there are sheets you do not want included then Hold down the Ctrl and left click the tab.

Now do your Find as normal.
