File open button

Hi Everyone,

Can someone tell me how to create a button on the toolbar to open a certain file.

I know how to do the button and assign the macro but I have tried creating a macro by recording the actions but it says that it cannot find the file the 2nd time I run it.

Any suggestions.

When you record the macro, make sure you select "Personal Macro Workbook" under "Store Macro in". If this is the first time you created a personal macro, you will have to save this file to a drive when you close excel (it will promt you). This macro should then work (from a button, or hotkey) whenever you are in an (any) Excel file.
