excel won't stay open

Help, for some reason my Excel program shuts down automatically 2 or 3 secs after I open it. It doesn't matter what file I open it with or whether I launch the program. Has not done this before. Any thoughts?

Try holding the shift key down while you open Excel. This will disable any start-up stuff you have going on (if any). Someone else probably has more info...
