Excel minimize problem

Hello All! I am running Excel 97 (installed with Office 97) SR-1. With Excel open, I cannot "half-minimize" the Excel window. When I try to (clicking the middle button in the upper right), it minimizes completely. This is regardless of whether or not a spreadsheet is open. I'm stumped.

from a maximised window, try resizing the window down to what you want manually (ie with the mouse) first. after this when you click the minimise button it should go to the size you set manually.
