Excel issue

I open up excel and when I click in a cell the cell stays anchored and wont shut off the drag function. One this is done you can not access anything and need to go to Alt-Ctrl-Del to end the program. I have 2000 professional installed. I have deleted and re-installed excel and the mouse drivers. This does not occour in any of the other office apps.

The same happens to me sometimes but reseting the pc always fixes it on mine. It seems to happen when you press both mouse buttons down simultaneously. When it does happen I first usually try hammering both mouse buttons really quickly whilst shuffleing the mouse about. A very tecnical soloution I know, but sometimes it does fix it.
