Excel.EXE - Application Error

Appreciate if you can help me on this error below. It happens very frequently and when it does there is no chance for me to save all my work. I am using HP Vectra VL400 Pentium 1ghz with 128 ram and 15 gb of harddisk. My hardware should not be a problem. I am running Excel 97 in Microsoft Office Professional and my OS is NT4 workstation. Thanks a lot.

Excel.EXE - Application Error
The instruction at "0x00e6f5fe" referenced memory at "0x00000035". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the application
Click on CANCEL to debug the application

There are many reasons why this could be happening
I would suggest visiting www.microsoft.com

Next go to the support section and call Knowledge Base section.

Try typing in some of the text from your Dr Watson message and then see what it comes up with. You may be able to narrow down the search using some of the elements that are common to your crash. ie running some particular code, using a form option button etc.

there are some good specific answers to unique problems in there.
