Errors when opening excel files from Explorer

Hi
I run W95/office97 but also a specialty application that runs on Excel 5. When launching Excel97 files from windows explorer, I get errors for each word of the excel file name. Example: my file is called "Micro Soft Sucks.xls" The errors I get are "cannot find "Micro.xls, check the file name is correct...." OK moves onto the next error "cant find Soft.xls...." and the same for "Sucks.xls". I have checked that the file assocations are correct, and this problem doesnt occur on a similar computer that does not have Excel 5. Is there a registry Key that I need to nuke or adjust ??
Your help would be greatly appreciated

I'm having a similar problem when I try to download a file from my website into an Excel worksheet. It launches Excel and tries to download to a temporary directory, by then says it can find several files...my environment is NT4.0 though.

LET ME KNOW IF THIS HELPS ANYONE!!!!
I had the same problem with my Excel files. When I tried to open up an Excel file that had a space in it, it would try to open each word separately. To fix this, using NT4.0 (and maybe Win98), you can click Start, and then click Run. In the "OPEN" box type in
"Excel.exe /unregserver".
***if it says it cannont find Excel.exe you must then click the browse button and find the Excel.exe file.
Mine looked like this:"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Excel.exe" /unregserver

Click "OK".

Then go back to Start, Run. Then type in the same information (ex. "Excel.exe /unregserver"). Then change the /unregserver to /regserver. This worked for me and if it works for anyone else, please e-mail me and let me know.
