Drop Down box for columns

Is it possible to have a drop down box for an entire column in Excel 2000? For example, I want to be able to select from several selections in any given cell in Column B. I want to click on Cell B5 for example and it brings me a drop down list of red, orange, blue, green. I then want to be able to do the same for all cells below and above that. Is this possible? Thanks!

Are your selections the same for each cell, like red, orange, blue, green. If so, you can highlight the column and select data/validation. Allow a list. enter the list somewhere on your sheet ( you can hide it). enter the location of your list in the source field on data validaton screen. when the cursor is in these cells, a drop down arrow will appear.
