in excel how do i drag a cell and drop it into a different cell

championship manger when you drop the position in a box next to the player

Hi Barry,
When you have selected the cell or cells you wish to move, position the mouse somewhere around the border of those cells. The mouse pointer will change from a thick white cross to a white arrow. when the mouse pointer is this shape you can drag and drop the contents.
Holding the CNTL key down whilst you do this will copy the contents as opposed to just moving them.
