Data>Validation Problem

It seems that when I try to apply Data>Validation to a cell contained within an area set to the Freeze Panes command, I cannot invoke the functionality of the Validation command.

I wanted to allow the user to view different elements in the Freeze Panes area (top 6 rows of the spreadsheet) based upon the selection from the Validation cell. I set this area to Freeze Panes so that no matter how far down the user scrolled on the worksheet, they could still see the top 6 rows of information.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Paul:

I don't think Data Validation works in the 'Frozen Panes' area. you may need to use a Combo Box from the 'Control Toolbox' toolbar.

I think there's been a thread or two about combo boxes the past day or so.
