CTRL+b does not bold the selection

CTRL + b will no longer apply bold formatting in excel 2000. It does, however, empty the undo dropdown of all actions. I would like to reset it to apply bold.

I am running NT Workstation 4. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

John, I'm using Excel 97 at this moment, but I'm sure it should still Bold the cell. Try pushing Alt+F8 and check that no-one has assigned a macro to Ctrl+B
