Change 1 sheet & make 30 other sheets automatically change?

Posted by Rick on April 10, 2001 5:38 PM

I have 1 workbook with 31 different sheets (1 for each day of the month). All are the same. Is there ANY way for me to make a change on sheet #1 (let's say adding a box)and then make that box automatically get put in on the other 30 sheets without going in 30 times and manually typing it?

Thanks in Advance!

Select all sheets, do what you want on the active sheet, and it should appear on all sheets.

Hi Rick

anon has it!

You can select all sheets by right clicking on the sheet name tab and selecting "Select all sheets" or by:

SHIFT+CTRL+PAGE DOWN: Select the current and next sheet in the workbook

SHIFT+CTRL+PAGE UP: Select the current and previous sheet in the workbook

If you select sheets you do not want then simply hold down Ctrl and click the name tab.

A BIG WARNING though don't forget to ungroup the sheets (easy to forget), else you will make a mess of your spreasheet.

I mention this and another method on my "Tips and Tricks" page!
