Can I link a Word document to a cell?

Is there any way to insert a word document into a cell so that when I update the word document the corresponding cell will reflect those changes?

I couldn't find a way to do this.

You *can* create an object that does this, though. The object's formula would look something like this:

=Word.Document.8|'C:\My Documents\test document.doc'!'!OLE_LINK1'

You accomplish this by copying the text in the source Word document, selecting Excel's "Paste Special..." function in the Edit pull-down menu, selecting "Microsoft Word Document Object" in the object list, selecting the "Paste link" radio button on the left and unchecking the "Display as icon" checkbox item on the right.
