Can an add-in be opened for editing??

I have created an add-in file, with custom icons in a toolbar. The icons are created from picture files pasted on a workbook page, that forms part of the add-in. I (stupidly, I know) deleted the original workbook that I used to create the add-in, but I now want to make some changes. Can I convert the add-in to a .xls file again?

Thnx in advance

Stuart,

I picked this up off of http://groups.google.com/groups?group=microsoft.public.excel.programming :

"If you're using Excel 97 or later, and the VB project is not locked, all you
have to do is go to the VBE (Alt F11), select the Thisworkbook module of the
XLA in the Project window, press F4 to open the Properties window and change
the IsAddin property to False. Then you can save the workbook with an XLS
extension to avoid confusing it with the XLA.
