Calculation Problem

Hope someone out there has a solution!

I have a workbook which won't calculate properly. It does contain macros but I can't see why these would affect this. Basically, every time I open the workbook, it recalculates (which takes ages because it's a large file). After it reaches 100%, instead of the message in the status bar reading "Ready" it still reads "Calculate", indicating that it hasn't calculated properly.

Anyone had this happen before and found a solution??

hopefully,
Douglas

I had this a long time ago - basically it was failing to report a circular reference - I collected all the latest MS patches and it went away.

If Excel does not have a circular reference you will probably need to force Excel to recalculate by pressing

ctrl + alt + F9
