breaking reference to a cell

I have concatenated the text from 3 separate cells into
a new cell. I would like to have the newly created text
in that cell become the real values that they are, not
references to the 3 cells that they were created from.
My goal is to delete the 3 original cells and just have
the concatenated data. Is there a way in Excel to do
this?

Copy the offending cell, then use the Paste Special
command, and select the Values option. You
can paste back in the same place if you don't
need to keep the formulas.
