Bmp vs Jpg in a UserForm

I would like to put a jpg file in a userform. Every time I go to properties for the userform, and select a jpg file, it seems to change it to a bmp file, (at least is says "bitmap" in the properties line for the picture.

I'm concerned that the file will get to big using Bitmaps, considering I need to put 8 pictures on 8 different userforms.

Is this normal? any suggestions?
