Auto increase of numbers in cells

Easy question, but I can't figure this one out:

In the first cell on my sheet, I have some text with a number on the end (product #). When I try and drag this value down, the number on the end increases. How can I stop that?

numbers in cells: hold the cntr key or . .

R click and drag, you get a menu of copy, series, formats, or values

You could also enter the same text on the next cell, then you can highlight both cells and drag down and it shouldn't increment the number. HTH
