2 Excel Questions

Please post any responses to my e-mail address.

I actually teach Excel to local community organizations and consider myself pretty good with the program, but I got asked two questions today that I'm not sure about the answers.

#1 The cursor. Is there any way to change the color of the area that the cursor covers when you select a cell? When you have a large monitor it's hard to see the cursor and I would like to find a way to change the "cell that is activated" or "selected" to another color. Is this possible?

#2 I've got a workbook that has a worksheet for every month of the year with a cumulative sheet at the end for the year end totals. At the end of the year I have totals that have been created by formulas thru all of the 12 worksheets. Now I want to roll this into a new year and don't want to carry the formulas forward into the new year. I want static amounts that I can rely on to create formulas off of for the new year. Is there any way to create "lables" vs values or formula created numbers into the new year?

For example - if I have a formula created number of $29,462 I want to start my new year off with this number, but don't want to have to re-type it. Is there any way to do this? Basically changing formulas to values!

Thanks so much to anyone who can respond to this.

Barb

Part 2, you can copy paste special values.
Part 1, Joe Was has written some code at 5889.html which chnages the color of the whole row the crsor is in. You might be able to fiddle with that. I'm not VB'er, so got no idea.
