vlookup or ??

column A has Bag Nos column B has Values vlookup will put these in order but not reconise more bags with the same No therefore if Column A has a bag No 147 with 4 entries how do i add the values in column B together before using vlookup remembering each week the cell that 147 is in will be different

Not sure I understand completely...
Use SUMIF to sum totals in column B when the corresponding cell in column A = 147.
=sumif(A:A,"147",B:B)
