User Defined Function

I created a UDF, and put it in personal.xls. In the function drop down list, it shows up as PERSONAL.XLS!FunctionName(). My question: Is there any way to make only the function name and it's arguments appear in the function list rather than the whole file path?

There are a couple of ways.

1. Create an add-in, and put the add-in in your startup folder (XLStart).

2. Save your file as Book.xls in the same folder. This will be your default "template" for all new workbooks, so be careful here. This is also a good place to put any custom formats that you like to use often - since custom formats get saved with each workbook normally.

There are actually a few other ways, but they are much more involved.
