Plot the prices on a second Y axis or convert the numbers on the excel spreadsheet prior to graphing
To use the second Y axis solution, go ahead and make the graph. Double click on the series representing $ and select the "axis" tab. click the "secondary axis" radio button, is that what you wanted?
Re: Plot the prices on a second Y axis or convert the numbers on the excel spreadsheet prior to graphing
This is the actual goal of the project I'm doing. I can't figure out how to do this one step. I think both values need to be on the same axis, just that the prices need to be represented in hundereds instead of thousands, i.e. (10.0 = 1000)
use the Excel Chart Wizard button to make a line graph which should have the machines on its X-axis (across the bottom), and it should plot one line for the performance/price ratio, and another for the price. (Show price in multiples of 100 or 1000, so both lines fall into the same range.)
say prices are in A2 to A10, could you put =a2/100 in B2 and copy down to B10, then plot the B column rather than A?(NT)
