Trend polynomials

How do you use the trend function on data in a table to obtain a 2nd order polynomial fit (without plotting a chart and using 'add trendline')?

I've now got the answer:
TREND(B1:B20,A1:A20^{1,2})
The part of the formula reading ^{1,2} raises the A-column values to the powers of 1 and of 2.
