Hi Tom,

This is what i've come up with:

Format>Cells>Custom> # ?/? ''

it's not perfect though, if you have no fraction in
say W7 it shows as 44 " , with fraction in W7, 44 1/2"

And one more formula option......

As another alternative Jim, try pasting this formula into your sheet, and format the cell as General; it may come closer to what you want.

=IF(INT(SUM(C7*12+D7)+P7*O7+T7*S7+W7)=SUM(C7*12+D7)+P7*O7+T7*S7+W7,SUM(C7*12+D7)+P7*O7+T7*S7+W7&"''",TEXT(SUM(C7*12+D7)+P7*O7+T7*S7+W7,"# ?/?")&"''")
