I would like to calculate the 2nd and 3rd std deviations in addition to the first that the formula gives. Is it simply a matter of multiplying the first std dev by 2 or 3?

Hi there,

That is correct.Say you have a mean of 25 and sd of 5. then mean plus or minus 2 sd gives you a range of 15 to 35.
