Splitting info in one cell

I have some data that comes to me in Excel format. There is one column in particular that includes some data I would like to split out. For example:
1997 Chevy Blazer.

In the above example, I would like to split out the "1997". I would prefer not to use a macro, if anyone knows if a function is available.

RRA,

For the above example this will extract the 1997, and take away any blank spaces infront of it. Let me know if there are any other situations you may need, and how this works.
