number of days between two dates

hey all.
someone recently posted something similar, but i just want to find the number of days between two dates. nothing having to do with TODAY() or anything current like that. i just discovered that my spreadsheet is using the DAYS360() function...but i want it based on an actual 365 day calendar year!
any help would be...ummm...helpful.

How about a simple
=B1 - A1
?
Format as General.

You can simply use:
=A2-A1
where the earlier date is in A1.
You will get a weird looking date which will disappear after you change the cell format to "general"
