Link cell to another document

How do i pull out the content from e.g. cell L13 in sheet1.xls to cell C4 in sheet2.xls?
A complete formula to paste would be appreciated.

Paste this formula in cell c4 on sheet2
=Sheet1!L13

Paste the following:
=Sheet1!$L$13
into C4 cell of your Sheet2... and her you have it.
