ISBLANK Formula

Can you give me the formula to stop "totals" from repeating? Example I have a total in E2, which calculates the following: e1+c2-b2. However, I don't want the totals to repeat themselves all the way down the column. I know you have to use"ISBLANK" but it just won't work for me. Can you help with the correct formula? THANKS!

Can't follow what you are trying to do.
How are the totals being entered down the column?
What should be blank when a total is not wanted?
