Inserting Current Date Into Spreadsheet

Does anyone know how to insert the current date into the regular body of the spreadsheet automatically. Not in the header?

John,
you can use the =TODAY() in any cell in your spreadsheet and it will reflect today's date (based on your machine's date setting).

Ctr+; (Ctrl semicolon) will insert the current date in a cell
