Formula won't increment rows on autofill

I am trying to autofill this equation and make the indirect part increment with the rows. It just stays the same when autofilled down:
=IF(COUNTIF(comp!A:A,INDIRECT("$F2"))>0,"old","new")
suggestions?

maybe change your absolute reference with F2 to relative?

$F2" is text so it won't be affected by Fill
or Copy. Use...
=IF(COUNTIF(comp!A:A,$F2)>0,"old","new")
