I followed your example about lists

works great.!!
I would like to know when a name is selected
from a list can you somehow change out another
cell to be the same value as what has been selected
from the list.....

Hi Allan
I'm not sure I'm on the right track here, but let's say your cell with the Validation list is cell A1 and you want B1 to reflectn it's contents. In B1 put:
=IF(A1="","",A1)
Is that what you mean ?
