Combination of functions

Can I combine the subtotal function with the sumif or the countif function?

Hello Johan,
I just tried it. It doesn't appear it is allowed WITHIN the Subtotal syntax. However, this is allowed:
=SUBTOTAL(9,C3:C5)+SUMIF(B3:B7,"apples",C3:C7)
