Changing negative values to positive in a column with both negative and positive values

I am a new user to Excel. I am wondering how to change negative values in a column to a postive value. This column contains both postive and negative numbers.

Assuming your data is in column A, in B1 put
=ABS(A1)and copy down as far as you need. The ABS function changes numbers to their absolute values. : )
