Calculating minutes between two Date/Time cells

Trying to figure out the number of minutes between these two dates. Cell A1="9/14/01 11:23 AM and Cell B2="8/30/01 4:00 PM"
Anyone have a formula for this one?

use
=(a1-a2)*1440
with a general format.
