Average speed (kph)

Hi there,
I need help - how do I get the average speed in km/hour (divide km by time hh:mm:ss) in an Excell spreadsheet?

=kms/time*24. Excel stores time as fractions of a day.

Should have said
Kms/(time*24)
if you get a weird looking result, change the format to number or general.

Thank you - you are a star!!!
Now we can re-do the spreadsheet more effeciently - the only way I knew to do it, was to split the time and get everything to seconds!
A bit longwinded but at least it worked. Thanks again - will call again!
