adding 2 cells

I need help with adding 2 different number cells together. I need to add the areacode to a list of about 1000 phone numbers. eg: add 02 to the front of 636464646. what type should the cells be classified and what formula should i use?

Use =A2 & B2 where A2 houses 02 and B2 636464646
