read-only access

Is there a way to make a cell read-only or does this apply only to files? There is info in cells that have to be changed daily but other cells s/b fixed.

Use Format>Cells>Protection Tab to UNLOCK cells you want people to be able to modify. Then choose Tools>Protection>Protect Sheet. A password is optional.
