Protecting cells

How do I stop users changing certain cells in a worksheet? I want them to be able to make amendments to some ares of the sheet but not others.

Tim,

In the cells you want the users to change click Format, Cells and choose the Protection tab. Uncheck the Locked checkbox and click OK. Now protect the sheet using Tools, Protection, Protect Sheet. This will mean the user can only change the cells you've unlocked.
