Help with adding more info to cells

Posted by Star on June 08, 2001 2:23 PM

Ack! I know I know this. But I have lost it in the depths of confusion. I am making a worksheet and need to add several lines of info for each person listed. Simply put, I need to add several phone numbers for each person but I do not have room to add more columns. I need to do it in rows but it doesn't fit.

Basically, I have larger cells and I need to know if there is a way to utilize that large aount of space. Right now I can only enter one line of info in the bottom of the cell. Does this make any sense at all???? PLEASE help! This is for my new job! Eeeks!

TIA!

Reformat the cells with;
Format - Cells - Aliginment - Text Control - Wrap Text

If you set the column width to one phone number. Then each number will be on a new line, in the same cell. If I understand what you want to do! JSW

THANK YOU THANK YOU! That is exactly what I want to do! I know I have done it before and have just had a brain lapse!

My boss will certainly want to thank you as well!

Excel Help is poor but for these problems it works!

I checked Help to see if it was any help and when searched for "Wrap Text" it returned what I sent you. The problem with Excel help is if you don't know how your problem was logged in the Help directory you can't find it. Its worse than looking up a word you don't know how to spell in a dictionary, sometimes. Glad to be of help.
