Formula Display

When I enter a simple concatenation formula w/ an "=" sign, only the formula displays, not the results. I have tried recopying the data to another workbook. I have also checked the Tools|Option|View tab to make sure the "Formula" checkbox is "unchecked". Any suggestions? Thanks

Change the cell format to "General" and re-enter
the formula.
