Fomat Problem

When I have a column of numbers, at the last cell I add function, for example add them up, I will type "=sum(a1:a10)", then it will pop up the right answer but in smaller font. I have already set default of 12 for the size of text/ numebr, however the answer font will be shown as 10 or 8 size after I press enter. It seems a minor problem but it really disturbing me. Please solve it for me and thank you very much for your help.

Any conditional formatting may over-ride your manual format...
check to see if that particular cell has any kind of conditional formatting assigned to it :
format
conditional formatting
cell value is
if there's anything in there (like "greater than 5") it will apply the formatting (like "bold" or "small font") - so just click on "delete" and delete the conditions
this will get the cell format back to normal
