find/replace w/formats????

i have a formula that is linking other worksheets in my file. w/in that formula, i tell it to say "zzz" when something isn't found in the other worksheet. is there a way to incorporate into my formula to make the ZZZ bold when it doesn't find something? i tried html, but it didn't work.
if you could please give me formula and not code, i would appreciate it.

Celeste, try using conditional formatting. From the main menu, select Format|Conditional Formatting. Use cell equal to zzz and then select bold font (accessed via the format button).
