How do you conditional format text data to be "Bold and Italic" in a paticular column? Thank you in advance for any help.

What is the condition under which the text data is changed to "Bold and Italic" ? I could possibly write the formula for you if I understood under what conditions the text was to appear as "bold and italic".

Bill.

If data is text vs. number. Cells with numbers would not change...

Thanks for the help.

Use the following formula for your conditional formula (for cell A1).

=ISTEXT(A1)

Then set your formatting.

Almost there ... the conditional format would be for a column ...
Thanks again.

Conditionally format a cell in the column, copy that cell, select the entire column and then PasteSpecial Formats only.
