Cell Colour change

I have used a simple Ranking formula, but would like to change the background colour for visual effect for Fail/Pass. Say Red for fail & Green for pass. Is there a macro that will do this automatically?

Consider using Conditional Formatting.

Try using Conditional Formatting (select Format > Conditional Formatting). Enter your two conditions and the formats associated with them, then use the format painter to apply that conditional formatting to your entire column.
