Excell has caused an error??

Posted by Scorpiuscat on December 31, 2001 8:21 AM

I have a computer that keeps getting a message from excell when printing that goes like this:

"Excell has caused an error in KRNL386.exe if this problem persists try re-booting"

If I reinstall Excell and the printer drivers,it will work fine for a few weeks and then it will happen again.

My question is: What is causing this and how to I fix it?

The computer is running in WindowsME and had been reformatted recently. It is an old 233mhz PII.

Not sure if this will help, but here is a website that deals with that error, and offers some solutions:

hi there, first check older entrys below re excel problems look at my posts.
second i feel drivers do cause problems, not many people know Excel and windows check drivers prior to printpreview and print spooling, i would check correct drivers ie Win 95/8 or NT and just for the sake get new drivers from manufactors web page and delete old and reload new.

If not.. Excel has the hump i would delete Office by programs remove and reload Office/excel and try again. If is playing up after 2 weeks do you have crashes... ie Check files?
