Error message

I created a pivot table with an external datasource (MS Access table). When I change the sourcedata (just some numbers) and refresh the pivot table, I get the following error message from excel:

"Pivot Table was changed during refresh operation."

I have just to click "OK" and the Pivot Table is all right... But I really don't like errormessages ;-)

Do you know this message too? Do you have any idea why I get this message?

thanx

I believe if there is change in any of the Page information, you will get this message. For instance, if you set it up with "invoice" as a page, and when you refreshed there were more or less invoice numbers than before, you would get this message.

I never tried to shut it off, but I'm sure there's a way.

Thank you Scott. If I figure it out I'll let you know...

This is more of an information only message. Just to
let you know the data has changed. In case you have
printed charts or something based on the data; you need
to reprint them.

if it actually needs to overwrite any formula or data you have next to or under the pivot, you'll get a different message about "replacing contents of cells"........ but your message is just to say the pivot has changed

watch out for any extra columns or rows though, it can sometimes bugger up anything you have linked to the existing pivot (not a great idea, but sometimes necessary in haste !)
