mass calculations/conversion

hi there,
is there a way of doing a mass conversion on a selected bunch of cells, eg multily then all by 1000 or whatever...I dont need formulas its just from some one off conversions....any ideas...?

enter your multiplier in empty cell.
Edit-copy it. Highlight target cells.
Edit-Paste special-Multiply. All the target cells
will be changed.
