Deleting portions of a cell

How do you delete portions of a cell. Say I want to delete the letters from a cell that contains numbers, so i can sort on the numbers.

Hi Craig
Try using Edit>Replace and leave the replace with box blank. Or if you have leading zeros place a ' in this box.
