Time Conversion hh.mm.ss

I have been tasked to analyse the data produced by our web access software (Iware) running on our server, so that each research project pays for their time online out of their budget

The software produces the users time online in the format hh:mm:ss. Our phone bill comes in with the total time in seconds.

I need to convert the hh:mm:ss column to seconds. I am learning Excel 97 on the fly and am now in the situation of "not seeing the wood for the trees". Any help appreciated.

Regards

Andy

Andy
Excel like most spreadsheets works times as an integer value ie .5 = 12:00:00 (in Hr:Min:sec format)
in the cells next to your columns just enter this
formula =60*60*24*B1, this assumes that your
Hr:Min:sec value is in cell "A1".
